A nurse can be defined as “a person educated and trained to care for the sick or disabled.” Becoming a nurse can be one of the most rewarding jobs available.  With the job comes the opportunity, and responsibility, of caring for the injured, sick, disabled, or ill.  This job can put a great deal of burden and stress, but can also be very rewarding, with much joy in helping others and giving back to the local community. If you are interested in the medical field and enjoy interacting and caring for others, this job is for you.  The basis of any successful career, not excluding nursing, is a firm education. Nurses will need a very good education and school to ensure that they will be successful in their future career. Here are some things to consider before enrolling at any nursing school.

• Before starting any type of school, an individual should be well aware of their future goals and aspirations. Would you like to pursue a career as a nurse or would you like to strive to be a doctor someday? Understanding where you want to go in life will help you to understand whether nursing school is right for you.

• It is always a good idea to be well aware of your passions and abilities. There are many different types of nurses and many fields that you can pursue. Do you enjoy working with children or with the elderly? Do you enjoy working with disabled or sick individuals? It is essential that you know what type of field you want to pursue so that you can obtain an education that will help you to achieve your future goals.
