An architect can be defined as someone who “designs and supervises the construction of buildings or other large structures.” An architect is a good career for anyone who likes working with their hands and enjoys art and drawing. Architecture school is often the first step in obtaining a successful career as an architect. There are many options when it comes to an education Some people may want to pursue a traditional 4-year degree while others can be equally as successful obtaining an associates degree at a local community college.   • In architectural school, you will be expected to learn how to use architectural drawings, construction plans and other important documents and plans that are vital to your architectural knowledge and education.
  • Once you graduate from architectural school, you will likely become self-employed or work in a small firm. Most of your time will be spend developing drawings and communicating with fellow architects and clients. Architects will be expected to work well alone and with other people and should be very self-motivating and positive.
